PaceCatherine V. Pace
Lieutenant, Chaplain Corps,
United States Navy

Lieutenant Catherine V. Pace is a native of the Carolinas. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks and Recreation with specialization in Hotel Management. She graduated from Anderson School of Theology with a Master of Divinity degree in 2003. She is an ordained minister in North Carolina and endorsed for military chaplaincy by the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana.

She was commissioned on 21 May 2003 and entered active duty by attending Chaplain School, Rhode Island 3 June 2003. She was assigned as Protestant Chapel Chaplain in August 2003. While attached to Marine Air Ground Combat Center/Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command she has served as a staff chaplain, hospital chaplain, and served as Interim Deputy Director. Further, she was deployed from August 2004-February 2005 to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany. Serving as Hospital Marine Liaison Chaplain, she visited over 3900 patients and worked with the Theater Mortuary Evacuation team. Currently she is stationed in Singapore and works with the Military Sealift Fleet Support Command—Ship Support Unit; where she spends time sailing at sea.

Her desire to be part of the Military helped to clarify the call to the Chaplaincy. Serving those who serve our country is an honor, privilege, and a call for both God and country made the choice enthusiastically easy. As a formerly married, and now single woman, Chaplain Pace feels she has an advantage in counseling both married and single, service members and civilian personnel. Chaplain Pace previously worked as an insurance agent for 13 years as well as serving as part-time youth pastor for 2 years in a local Church of God congregation. Her interests include tennis, biking, and telling jokes.
